PAINTING ON IMAGE HEADER

I’ve been asked about the painting of Bishop’s Castle used in the image header. It is by local artist Stewart Rankine who regularly exhibits with the Castle Artists. He is showing his work at the Cider Museum in Hereford from 21st November to 21st December together with Daphne Rankine and Judy Osbourne.

Tonight it’s pouring with rain, the wind is blowing, but half of Fight the Bear are in the building putting the finishing touches to the cover of their new album. This will be available at the beginning of December (the album as well as the cover). They’re under a bit of pressure and are off to play in Bridgnorth tonight - at the Black Boy. FUTURE OF ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH

There will be a meeting on Wednesday 18th November 7.30 pm in the church to discuss what changes or improvements the community would like to see.

The Church will shortly be looking for a new incumbent and a parish profile is being drawn up. There are also plans for alterations to the interior of the Church and the Church Council would like to know what you think.

Today we have very Green Fingers

And no not the gardening type! After failing miserably to work out how to set up printing booklets with a seperate colour cover on our new “all singing, all dancing” copier we finally ended up doing them all manually! Hence we have very green fingers from the bright green covers. Never mind Mash will be in soon and is sure to have it sorted in no time!!

NEW COPIERS HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!

At last, we have two new copiers which will offer a much broader service. We can now do booklet making and standard copying is now twice as fast. We will be adjusting our prices accordingly, hopefully down on the colour reproduction. Watch this space!
